President Biden addressed the nation this morning on the events that occurred on 1/6/2021 when thousands of protesters went to the Capitol Building to express their discontent with the results of the Presidential election.
Prior to his speaking, vice-President Kamala Harris spoke on the direct comparison to the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941 where 2,335 military personnel were killed when Japan attacked the United States. She referenced the attacks on the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001, where almost 3,000 people were killed.
Her comments comparing these attacks to the protests that occurred on January 6th drew ire from several people on social media. Representative Andy Biggs was amongst the first to respond to her comments. Claiming, "Kamala compared Jan6 to the attack on Pearl Harbor and the Twin Towers. Fear-baiting and truth-twisting at its finest.
President Biden led with, "one year ago today in this sacred place, Democracy was attacked." He went on to comment over and over again about "Truth." Making comparisons to the Civil war, because a few of the protesters were carrying the confederate flag.
Biden went on to claim that an officer testified the protests were equivalent to a medieval battle where flag poles were used as spears and that he was "more afraid that day than he was in Iraq" whereby live fire was a daily occurrence. He referenced protesters as menacing the halls of the capitol building.
Claiming the protests were an armed insurrection, despite the FBI finding scant evidence of his claims of an insurrection, he berated the protesters who were demonstrating their dislike for the incoming administration.
He went on to reference the former president and said that President Trump, despite not saying his name values his own interests over those of the country. President Trump was quick to respond to Biden's speech.
Those watching live on YouTube were quick to respond to his talking points.
Issuing a statement from his Save America Pac account, due to the fact that social media has banned the former President's voice from being heard, Trump responded with:
Biden, who is destroying our Nation with insane policies of open Borders, corrupt Elections, disastrous energy policies, unconstitutional mandates, and devastating school closures, used my name today to try to further divide America. This political theater is all just a distraction for the fact Biden has completely and totally failed. Our Country no longer has Borders, has totally and completely lost control of Covid (record numbers!), is no longer Energy Independent, Inflation is rampant, our Military is in chaos, and our exit, or surrender, from Afghanistan was perhaps the most embarrassing day in the long and distinguished history of the United States—and so much more. Why is it that the Unselect Committee of totally partisan political hacks, whose judgment has long ago been made, not discussing the rigged Presidential Election of 2020? It’s because they don’t have the answers or justifications for what happened. They got away with something, and it is leading to our Country’s destruction. They want all conversation concerning the Election “Canceled.” Just look at the numbers, they speak for themselves. They are not justifiable, so the complicit media just calls it the Big Lie, when in actuality the Big Lie was the Election itself.
The Democrats want to own this day of January 6th so they can stoke fears and divide America. I say, let them have it because America sees through theirs lies and polarizations
Biden is working hard to try and deflect the incompetent job he is doing, and has done, on the horrible Afghanistan withdrawal (surrender), the Borders, COVID, Inflation, loss of Energy Independence, and much more. Everything he touches turns to failure. That’s what you get when you have a rigged Election.
What do you think of Biden's speech? Did he bring America together, or did he add gasoline to the fire that is burning today in America? We want to know your opinion.
